Description of contents:
- The book, written in Spanish. The contents are very well structured and of the highest interest.
- The author, D. Francisco de Figueras y Pacheco, Doctor of Law, writer and archaeologist. He was the official chronicler of the city of Alicante and was a member of several national Academies and cultural institutions. He wrote several books.
- At the beginning of each chapter, there is a header or horizontal engraving. And at the end of each chapter, there are small marmosets or engravings.
Parts of the contents:
- Single volume. Spanish copy, with the complete text.
- Title page. Title page. Foreword. Chapter One: The Idea of War. Chapter Two: Classification of War. Chapter Three: The Foundations and Ends of War. Chapter Four: The Generation of War. Chapter Five: Properties of War. Chapter Six: Requisites of war. Chapter Seven: Judgment that war deserves.
Description of the Book:
- Poorly executed sewn binding, bearded, untreated, from the First Half of the 20th Century.
- Text in single-colour printing in black, regular ink, and with regular stamping, well centred and with good margins.
- Book printed on tan paper, of medium thickness and poor quality.
- Soft paperback covers, green cardboard, very deteriorated and stained, with rubbing and folds.
- The cover is stamped in black "Filosofía de la Guerra - Discurso de D. Francisco de Figueras y Pacheco" in the act of receiving the investiture of Doctor in Law, in the Central University, on the 19th of November 1910. ALICANTE IMPRENTA COMERCIAL. 1911.
- Rear covers stamped with a Filigree Symbol with square perimeter, sensibly centred. Lacks dust jacket.
Conservation and damage:
- General Condition: Fair - Poor.
- Sewn binding in a tired state.
- Text pages are in fair condition. The tips are deteriorated with light creases and folds.
- Book has pages, both edges and centerfolds, with several pages torn, damage with rubbing, light creases and folds, soiling, stains, rust marks and moisture.
- Spine torn and fatigued.
- Book shows wear and tear typical of it's age.

Comments: - Both the Measurements and the Weight are approximate.
- To take the photos of the inside pages, they have been held with tweezers.
- Due to the unavoidable differences in tonalities between photos and reality, it must be taken into account that the tones of the colours in the photos are not exactly the same as the tones of the real colours.
- The Book for sale is the one that corresponds to the photos, which in turn are complemented in this Description, with the aim of providing a better knowledge of the Object, and never to be a detailed exposition of the same.
